I don't like making granny squares.
I know I know, a crochet-addict who doesn't like granny squares, like an alchoholic who doesn't like cocktails (mmmm, cocktails...)
I just find them a little tedious, all that going round and round in circles..ok..squares...the same stitches over and over and over again. to create lots of little identical, or very similar, componant parts.
*sigh*
...seeing them come together to create the whole...
...finally seeing the fruits of my labour...
And it's always handy to have a little helper on hand to test the softness...
Well, even if you don't enjoy making them, the result is just beautiful. Such yummy colors! And it looks nice and soft and squishy -- those are two very happy little feet in the last picture :)
ReplyDeleteI actually dislike the sewing together the most, funny! It looks beautiful, Ali.
ReplyDeleteit is beautiful! Well done on persevering with the squares you didn't enjoy much!
ReplyDeleteWhat method did you use for joining? I love the colours too! Nice blankie!
I'm the opposite to you. I love doing the squares...but hate sewing( I can't crochet them)together! Can you come round and do mine?!
ReplyDeleteLove your blanket..very pretty. :o)
Haha - I don't like stitching them all together - probably why I make giant granny square blankets!! Loving yours - such great colours.
ReplyDeletewhat cute little feet! ;o)
ReplyDelete....and I now get more of sense on how big the "squares" are, lol!
hugs
