I love a bit of kitsch first thing in the morning :)
Shortly after Christmas I treated myself to a little something in the Cath Kidston sale. Looky looky....
You see, my breastfeeding pillow (who we call Valerie, as she is a 'V' shape) had a hideous brown cover. Yuck. But now Valerie is resplendant in CK florals!
She is so beautiful that she is now allowed to sit proudly in the living room all day long...And somebody else approves too...
Things here are still tough...sometimes the good days outweigh the bad, sometimes the bad outweigh the good. It's a long road, but we're getting there, slowly slowly.
What a fabulous makeover for the cushion! You did brilliantly to do it :) I'm just having a bit of Cath Kidston therapy myself before the evening routine..........coffee in an extra large CK mug :D

That is such pretty fabric, miles better than a boring brown cover.
ReplyDeleteI love that your feeding pillow has a name, heh.
I know you don't want to hear this just now...but believe me in a few years time you'll look back to when you had a new baby and say "Where did the time go?" Even through the really hard times try to remember it wont always be now. And keep doing things that cheer you up.
ReplyDeleteOooohhhh and so cute - babe and cushion.
ReplyDeleteI do love a bit of CK therapy.
The main thing is you know there will be good days and bad days and that they will absolutely not be forever.
take care,

Lovely! Sometimes it's those little things that help get you through the tough times. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic idea!

I'm a massive cath K fan (drives my hubs bonkers!) I too have a cath K mug and you're right- something a little special about drinking tea from a nice mug!
Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteMr Boo has his coffee in that mug every morning..well not THAT mug, because that's your one! I love the makeover on 'Valerie',gorgeous material.Hope there are more good days than bad this week. :0)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to CK a feeding cushion. You can feel you are constantly feeding so it's a brilliant idea to be surrounded by something indulgent and comforting.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the sterling work. There should be medals handed out for breastfeeding as its an all consuming job!
Glad I found you and thanks for visiting my blog too.
